| Dear Marty, I wonder if anyone can fill in the picture of the still-revered Stanley Tremaine (FRHS, 1945), who died about a year ago. As far as I've been able to learn, Tremaine had a tremendous career as a contributor of ideas for weapons, some of them fantastic, to the US Air Force. In the end, he would teach at the Air Force Academy and reach an equivalent rank of major-general, a surprising trajectory for a boy from Rockaway who got a degree in pharmacology and also ran drugstores.
