Dear Mr. Georges. I am not sure if you will remember me and my family. My dad Larry Hart (Clarence Hart) worked for you in the 70's. My family and I always talk about the fun we had at the store,on the beach and at the arcade. We were just talking about Dad being part of the rotary Club and how we would spend a free night every year at Rockaway Playland. Sadly, my dad passed away two years ago. He was a florest until about 7 years ago when he had a stroke. Chill (our nickname) loved flowers as you well know. Please feel free to contact us. You and your family will always be part of ours.

Dean, if you're reading this personally, you might remember me and my brother Mike. I was Greg's good friend in Rockaway throughout childhood, and we were great teammates together on that remarkable baseball team that won it all, despite Jack Kerchman. Greg and I were key to winning that title, and when we spoke for the first time since high school a few years before he passed, we re-lived all that, and he sounded as passionate about it as I was. I only learned of hi passing years later from my still close Rockaway friend, Roger Koerner. Greg felt like me about the significance of that team and title -- FR's first ever. He was a magnificent catcher -- the best I ever played with -- and I didn't stop playing basbeall until I was 42, still hitting 3rd and closing out with a .328 average. Greg was not just a singular athlete to me, but one of the finest human beings I knew in my youth. If we'd've lived near each other after high school, I believe we would've remained great pals. And he would've continued to argur -- futlily -- that he was a better hitter than me.
If you have any memories of me at all, love to know them.
PS: Your tribute to Greg here is wonderful, like the site itself. All the best, your old Rockaway neighbor from 549 Bch. 132nd St., Steiny (#4)
