Richard Zemser (see post below) is my cousin. Just about all our relatives (parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins) attended Far Rockaway High School. Our family represents a large famial history of Far Rock. What wonderful memories we all share!

I've "got a life," but it now includes this website! I laughed my way through the photos of the faculty and staff. And, while I'm still capable of remembering, I'll try to suck up all possible memories of Rockaway past. I have an extensive antique post card collection of the Rockaways, especially Arverne. Each post card, from the turn of the century, tells a wonderful story of time gone by. My old house still exists on B. 69th street and never looked better. I even like the newly recincarnated name of the old neighborhood: "Arverne-by-the-Sea." Truly looking forward to our 50th class reunion. Thank you to all involved in maintaining such an award-deserving website.

Class of '67. Been a d.j. for 30+ yrs.
My wife and I live in Harrisburg, OR ("population 3,221.SAHLUTE!)...fits me like hand in glove. 2 "kids", 2 "grandkids",1 great grandkid.

This is great. So much and I'll send of my pictures from my family. I have my Mom,s (Roslyn Simon Amelkin) PS 39 7th grade home economic cook book. Recipes and cut out pictures. It is covered in an "oilcloth "
