I've only seen the picture of my Hoppe ancestors at the door of their room (here: http://willhoppe.com/rockaway-park-summer-beginnings/ ) I just spent time with my dad on the phone looking at some of the photos. He was very happy to see the Dublin House on the home page, and tells me he bought his first beer at Fitzgerald's. Also, when I mentioned some of the other places, his comment was often, "That was an important place," which could be translated as a place his father, Gus "O'Hoppe," frequented. IP : 108.5.114.95 |
