Great photos, great memories, as a young lad from Broad Channel, I spent much time dancing and drinking in Gildeas, and made sure to stay clear of the "Paddy Wagon" that was a always nearby. Great Job

Great memories--especially the Sligo House on 103 street. I lived in St.Teresa's parish in Woodside and loved the summers of my youth.

Those were the days....Street hockey with the Wynwood Incas; summer Wednesday teen dances at Sunnyside Gardens; life-lasting camaraderie of Woodside pals; and those sunburned rides home from the beach....God Bless all....Colonel(Ret) Ed Jentz, former Green Beret

Thanks for bringing back some memories of the Best Years of Our Life. I was raised in Woodside but was always in Rockaway in the 50's. Gildeas was a popular spot in Rockaway but I met my wife of 51 years in Gildeas in Sunnyside.

I loved looking at all the pictures of Irish Town
I lived at 104-11 Saint Marks Ave. There was also a television repair shop called myreskies??? I remember my mom sending me to Rosens grocery store for milk and bread etc. There was also Arthurs Pizzeria and Frank Gambinos Barber shop. I loved living in seaside. My whole family lived on the same street. I Graduated from Saint Camillus and then Stella Maris.
My Dad, Jerry Perich owned Jerry's Luncheonette on Beach 116th Street in the early 70's. (next to the Park Tavern)
